Finally got a chance to read my medieval book again, for a bit.

This was from the chapter on The Lord of the Castle. It's talking about when knights had to reknew vows with their lords and stuff:

The count demanded of the future vassal if he wished without reserve to become his man, and he replied, 'I so wish'; then, with his hands clasped and enclosed between those of the count, their alliance was sealed with a kiss.

No one could get why I about died giggling.

*giggles* So maybe we should have a challenge theme called "sealed with a kiss", because come on, that makes two pledges I can think of offhand which are sealed with kisses and are meant to be for life.

Or someone could write a series of snippets called "Sealed with a Kiss: Throughout the Ages" and have a whole series of either 1) reincarnation fic, or 2) unrelated stories. :P

That's great! IS this fiction or some sort of historical book? I looked at Amazon, but I'm not 100% sure which. On one hand, I know a lot of past behavior today are given sexual overtones -- right or wrong -- but on the other, that line seems too perfect to be true!
