Another drabble
Feb. 9th, 2008 09:58 amIf anyone remembers my DwtD angel.
No real point to it, just...I saw their story the other day and realized I missed them.
"Perhaps I'm mistaken," Jed said with a grin as he watched Charlie splash out of the water. "I was fairly certain I made an angel, but present evidence would indicate a mermaid."
Charlie laughed and dropped down next to him, water going everywhere, the sun making it glisten on Charlie's deeply tanned skin. Against it, his pale, white-gold hair was paler than ever, spun sugar against warm honey. Jed had never been a fan of the beach, really, but he was quickly growing fond. Without even stopping to think about it, he reached over to wrap an arm around Charlie's shoulder, dragging his angel close for a kiss. Charlie froze briefly with surprise, then eagerly kissed him back, pushing him back against their beach blanket.
"I didn't know you liked the beach so much," he said when they finally broke apart.
"Neither did I, Master," Charlie said with a smile, looking up briefly to admire the sand and surf. It was completely deserted beyond the two of them, the property of some friends. "It is a lot of fun." He grinned. "Perhaps you did weave some mermaid into my making."
Jed laughed and tugged him down for another kiss, digging his fingers into the well-developed muscles of Charlie's arms, his shoulders, fingers brushing lightly across the soft brown leather embossed with runes and sigils that said this angel was made by and for him, belonged to him until the end of days. He still felt a twinge of guilt for it, and always would, for angels were one of the enslaved races...
Yet no part of his spell had dictated anything like this. No part of it compelled the arms around him or the hot, sweet-flavored mouth devouring his.
He lightly touched the collar again, slipping a finger beneath it to tug gently.
Charlie nuzzled his cheek, kisses whisper-soft against Jed's skin. His swim trunks were cold and wet, but left nothing to the imagination as Charlie pressed closer, body covering Jed's. "So I guess, Master, you do not want to go for a swim with me?"
"I'd rather do something else with you," Jed said with a grin, letting go of the collar to sink his hands into Charlie's hair. "We'll go for a swim later."
"As you wish, Master," Charlie said.

Twoz Lovely as always, I can never work out where you find the time to write so many things, and with such good/amazing quality. You're far to talented for my health.
Interestingly, I'm going to start calling Charlie a Mergel from now on.
