Phone rings. Who is it?

Dickinson Financial Aid office. Guy was polite, efficient, and told us exactty what needed to be done to get everything taken care of.

One wonders why they simply could not tell us all this in the original email.

Lesson learned? Being bitchy and obnoxious will get you places. That depresses me on so many levels.

Now to compose a thank you and then it's off to work.

Hot diggity damn!! I told you it was a good one!! and it wasn't bitchy OR obnoxious! I've read those kinds of letters before.. That was a Grade A "I'm pissed and you are going to do something about it" letter! BRAVO!!!

Ditto. It's sad that that's the way the world works, but it seems to be the truth. Being nice gets you nowhere.

*hugs* At least they got back to you to help solve the problem. (Although, the fuckwits probably could have saved themselves and you a lot of hassle if they'd just done it right the first time. *sigh* I feel for you.) And good luck with work!

Sad but true, as you said. Kind of sucks for those of us that were raised to be nice, and polite, and just generally good natured.


So far as them doing it right the first time, well that's called logical. Logic + reality seldom overlap I've noticed.

Cool job on the letter. Awesome results. Why do people have jobs if they either don't like them or don't want to do them. It's very true that the people who get the most results are the ones who get really pissed and start rasing a ruckus. Thanks for the help. Your talents are wasted here you have bigger fish to fry.
