Yay, Tea!

This is the tea I've been drinking lately.

It's extremely tasty, and the sort of tea that is good with or without milk & sugar. Of late I've been drinking it with just sugar, and I make it pretty strong.

I also have their gunpowder green tea, and that is equally yummy.

Confession: I babble when tired.

Hey, I have a box of Twinings Russian Caravan in my cupboard. I keep thinking I should open it, but I'm too lazy to make tea at home, I suppose. I have teabags at work (earl grey, which I have with just a little sugar, and chai, which I have with milk).

I like tea. Today I was at Baskin Robbins and got some green tea flavour and the girl asked if I wanted to try it first, which is funny because that's what happened last time too. I guess my fellow Australians just don't appreciate green tea.

Ooh, I can't get the twinining russian caravan unless I order it online. I really like their Irish breakfast tea, and that I can find at the store. Mmm, chai.

Ahaha. Dude, I'm jealous your BR has green tea. Ours so doesn't.

Well, I have it because Alex randomly won a basket of beverage-products (including the first box of chai teabags, which were a hit). I did try a teabag of Russian Caravan once and it was very tasty, but I do tend not to drink tea at home. Besides, my only teapot is one of those squat Japanese-style ones, and am I allowed to make European teas in that? Will I get struck down by the tea gods?

Our local BR sometimes has green tea and sometimes doesn't, but the last two times it has. My favourite flavour to have with green tea is very fruity strawberry (like light gelato or sorbet) but they never have that kind of flavour at BR (they have very creamy strawberry, but I tried it once and it wasn't the same). There's a gelato place at the bottom of a department store in Singapore that does it and it's just wonderful. *dreams happily*

Mmm, that does sound yummy. The first time I ever even really heard of putting milk or sugar in tea was in college. It was good, but I just like getting nice flavors instead. Earl Grey is a favorite(for which we can blame Jean-Luc Picard of the Starship Enterprise), and anything with mint. I'm drinking Constant Comment Green right now. ^_^

What did I see the other day? 5 cups of black tea give you your daily dose of antioxidants. That's about 3 mugs. Drink to your health!

I haven't tried that one but my parents are quite fond of gunpowder green...
Yesterday I went looking for the postcards for you Sis and went near my Sis' new flat. After leaving it, we came across a tea shop and I bought some tea : hojicha (japanese green), tamaryokucha (japanese green) and two "parfumés" (jasmine green and "orange sanguine"_red orange?_ black), plus tasted some Caravanserail (cinnamon, ginseng, orange and flowers). We'll go there often : large choice of quality tea and nice people_ stay one hour in there... I've come across another shop you'd have found interesting (but did not enter this time_pay not there yet and funds low...), I'll send you the shots I've made ^__^

mmmm, tea. I admit to drinking my tea with only sugar, but that's only the english teas. Chinese tea you drink as it is, and you get to really taste it. You should try chrysanthemum if you can. It goes really well with Dim Sum, and you can add a bit of sugar to it if you want. SO GOOD.

I have a wide variety of teas. Some black teas taste best with milk, cause it brings out the flavor. Others are good plain. I would never put anything in any of my green teas. My favorite of those right now are the gyokuro I've got, and a green tea infused with cherry. Very tasty. I've got really good camomile too, and a few other herbal teas. Don't think I've ever found chrysanthemum, but I'll look the next time I go to the international foods grocery store.

Please do. Chrysanthemum tea has a bit of a bitter aftertaste along with it's florally-ness which makes it divine when drank piping hot, while eating sweet of savoury. But it's sort of delicate too, so that why you eat it with Dim Sum and not say, something with more seasoning. Then there's the stuff which is served everywhere here, which is normally an Oolong standard black tea blend. It's cheaper than ordering water. I'm serious.
