And I think that's a sign I should bust into my blackberry wine. Had wanted to write tonight, but blah -_- If I fucked up a chapter last night, I'm certainly not going to risk it again tonight. We shall see.
I almost posted this on the last entry, but I'm not sure I could've used that subject line. I'm such a nerd.
As the main slash novel reviewer I know, I wanted to share a new company with you. Especially since, this seems like the publishing company you were looking for before you gave up and published through lulu. They are called blind eye books (www.blindeyebooks.com). They're dedicated to science fiction and fantasy with gay and lesbian protagonists. And unlike Torque and other companies, the focus is on plot and sci-fi or fantasy elements, not sex. They have a list of submission guidelines that further earns my approval: they don't publish erotica (I'm not sure if they even publish stories with explicit sex), or downer endings, and one of the most important submission traits is novelty.
So far they've released two novels and an anthology with nine short stories and two novellas.
Needless to say, I'm hoping the company is successful, since they're exactly the type of publisher I've been hoping for.
I've been staring wistfully at the booze aisle of my local grocery storen lately but I'm not very experienced at alcohol so I end up leaving emptyhanded :P
