I love American Gods. When Mine Lord Gaiman said to pick not your favorite, but the book you'd most likely pick, I really did mean it when I chose American Gods. Shadow is so very much with the love. I'd wait for him to get out of prison, hell yeah, and I wouldn't fucking cheat on him in the mean time.

And I don't care if he is the villian, I love Wednesday. He's so goddamn cheerful and honest about being an asshole.

When I finish American Gods, I'll have to reread Anansi Boys again. I so hope he plays in this verse again someday.

Complete agreement. American Gods ftw. My cousin created a book group online and it was the first book we read. Besides Shadow being awesome, I loved figuring out which god each person was. (And then, you know, we finished, started discussing it, and someone found the wikipedia listing of all the gods. Whatever. It was more fun identifying people myself.)

Have you read the short story in the American Gods verse? It's in one of his collections, I think Fragile Things.

There's a short story with Shadow in Fragile things, if you haven't read it yet. I liked American Gods quite a bit and I just finished Anansi Boys but Neverwhere will probably always be my favorite!

I'm a Low-Key fangirl myself. ^_^ I definitely agree, the villains in that book were half the fun. And Shadow is indeed awesome.
