I love Douglas Clegg. I follow a handful of writer blogs, but I think he and Gaiman are the only ones I probably stalk, as it were.

His list is beautiful, because the few cons I've been to I've seen the same behavior, and I saw similiar crap at my reunion, and at business stuff I've gone to - it doesn't just apply to writing conferences.

I'd never survive that sort of thing. Just putting an offer up for bid terrified me. If I had to try and communicate with people I worship look up to, I'd probably pass out or otherwise humiliate myself.

Not that it really matters, since I can't see why I'd ever be at one. Heck, I mostly go to Darkover to see Maile (and I hope they have another panel on vampires, cause that cracke me the fuck up).

Now, fix dinner or county my pennies for pizza? Dratted guilt.

Have you read anything else by him, btw? Someday I will motivate myself to read Mordred. The fluff potential just seems so low and I need to get myself in the space to enjoy non-fluff.^_^

This whole 'authors having ljs' still surprises me, though I'm not sure why. I don't think anyone I know irl has even heard of lj. Perhaps that's it. Hm, it would be so weird to become 'friends' with a favorite author. ^_^

You know, some of this is just expected common courtesy. I can't believe he found he had to write some of this stuff because people didn't do it. It would be on anyone's nerves if people acted like that! I still can't believe some people would be so obnoxious.

The one comment about the dancng being like a prom cracked me up so bad xD
