Well, you're not alone. I happen to adore it as well. I keep meaning to keep a list of them, but I always forget to start it, or a lose it, or life happens. Off the top of my head I can only remember Evelyn and Hillary even though i know there are a bunch more.
Jamie and Morgan I've seen used plenty of times both ways, though Morgan is not really used much these days. It gets seriously confusing when you know six Jamies, and they are evenly split in male/female.
I love names like that. ^_^ And it also sort of gives me a little thrill to hear a guy being given a "girl" name. That's why I've used the name "Holly" for one of my guy characters.
And I love finding now common names that actually has a surprising background. Like I found out last year while I was doing research for some writing that "Amy" is the name of a demon.
Ah ha, my name is one of those! Though around here regionally it tends to be more used for girls.
But I've talked to people who only know male "Casey"s so . . . it still counts I suppose XD;;;
And man, I love keeping quiet about my gender cause my name gives no hints and my personality rarely does either. So it's funny to watch people guess sometimes XD;

Date: 2008-08-17 03:00 pm (UTC)It's even worse; nobody {aside from the mothers and other random Nettas} knows Netta was originally a masculine name.
