The Beginning:
Cats woke me up 3:30. They never really let me go back to sleep.
The Middle:
Despite that, I was in a good mood. Even the boss texting me at 6:30 to say she wouldn't be in did not get me down. Being in a good mood, I decided to do my new thing. I take the bus to a McDonald's on my route, get off and enjoy a nice breakfast, then get back on the bus.
Only, when I got to McD's, they told me their credit machines are down. Okay, fine. Hike back the way I'd come, crossed the street (a massive fuckoff intersection, blah) to Walgreen's, got cash out. I will not be thwarted!
Got back to McD's....and the guy in front of me swiped his card just fine. Oh! Gosh, gee! Looks like they're working again! exclaims the chick at the register. -_- goes Megan
And now it gets even better.
Went back out later, waited for my bus. Saw bus at intersection, saw it was the only bus in the area. Look back down to finish last sentence of paragraph. Bus pulls up, Megan gets on.
Fifteen minutes later, bus turns where it should not. Megan goes "...." and suddenly realizes that somehow, someway, she is not on the right bus. Frantically pulls cord, gets off wrong bus, hikes back four blocks to where she needs to be to get on correct bus.
I finally got to work, luckily only a few minutes late.
The End:
About an hour after I got to work, I realize that at some point in the course of the morning, my necklace charm fell off. This saddens me, because it was my favorite necklace. I wore it all the time. Now, it's gone.
The day got better from there, minus a couple of moments of wanting to punch someone in the face for being anal retentive to the point of needing medication.
Now, I go to do more work.

Date: 2008-09-11 11:20 pm (UTC)Ah, that McDonalds incident happened to me once! It was somewhere else, though, I can't remember where. I was buying something and they were all 'no credit cards blargh', and then I came back about an hour later with a friend and they worked fine for her. -___-

I love that you let us read many of your things online, but I definitely like that I can buy your books to curl up with. I am considering getting another copy to give to a friend as a gift too ^^;
