Power finally came back on ^__^ Not that it was bad, though I wasn't thrilled about stumbling around a pitch black house.

Hope no one else suffered real unpleasantness around here. I hear it's up Sky's way now. Maybe you won't have to go to work tomorrow?

Oh, you too? Behind me though. Our power went out yesterday, at like five, and stayed out until passed three. Of course, it turned back on for half an hour around noon, then went out again. The weather's just horrid lately, all this rain. I went out to the garden to rescue a few tomatos and my feet were covered in water at one point. As in a puddle that was more akin to 'the grass turned to marsh'.

We don't, and STILL get power outages randomly.

Power outage? Bleh. Hate those. It's eerie, what with the lights being out everywhere - you look out and it's silent. But the wonderful part is, if you can see the sky, you can see the stars at night. All of them. It's definitely worth it. ^_^ Though it sounds like you had a storm. O_O So maybe not... ^^;;

I'm temporarily working out of Cedar Rapids Iowa for 2 months to do some training...It was torn up badly by floods early this year. The parking garage still doesn't have power. I swear to god there has to be some horror movie somewhere starting something like that. It was during morning hours, but as soon as you pulled into that building it was black as pitch. Apparently power is a low priority for the garage so it probably wont be on any time soon...
