About the only thing I can stand about msnbc is their picture of the week stuff. I wish I was 1337 enough to properly steal it from the adobe flash thing they run, but I am not (nor am I good enough to be using adobe photoshop. I feel like Mickey stealing the wizard's hat), so I just stole it another way. Totally love this picture. Taken by Rodney Lough, I believe.

I certainly don't care, though I didn't think it was big enough for that ^__^

Do you know the name of the stone&water formations in the foreground?

That is gorgeous and makes me think fantasy. ^___^ Such a pretty little world, rife with magic and wonderful scenery and epic quests across the... I don't even know how to classify that geographic formation there. ^___^ Pretty.

No, mostly I forget. ^__^;; My internet's kind of a pain in the ass, always disconnecting and reconnecting so I got out of the habit of signing in because I was always getting booted.

I can understand that.
Love your program for the weekend, particularly the writing-part (I don't forget you have one to write "en plus" ^_~ )

*flail* wow, i think the stone and water in the foreground is the calcium terrastines from Pamukkale in Turkey! I was backpacking a couple months ago and they were so so so beautiful. They're made from calcium deposits cascading down a cliff and there are ruins dating back to the roman empire right on top of that mountain. They're undergoing massive erosion lately due to the excessive tourism and lack of proper maintenance. The calcium terrains have mostly dried up so any water that you see if pumped through an artificial pipe with mineral water from god knows where.

Sorry for the vent, but pamukkale is in the middle of nowhere and you go through dirt tracks and villages where no one absolutely speaks enough english to give you directions but it's easily one of the most beautiful things in the world.

That's absolutely gorgeous. Funnily enough, it would fit in just right in the scene I have to write for my writing class...which has to do with some Slavic myths, and while I was researching it, I found the things on the Firebird and went all "Ohhhhh!" xDD Connection and epiphany, though it was really kind of obvious in Burning Bright.
