maderrI liked the first Adrien English book well enough. But I don't like the on again/off again thing he's got with the gay cop - though, despite myself, I do like the gay cop. But, the series doesn't seem certain enough of an HEA for me to pick up the others in the series. I want them to wind up together, and I have no faith in that. I've had little faith in such things since stupid Julia Talbot burned me with her fucking Jumping series.
So, I would happily trade to obtain them, but I don't think I'd ever buy them.
But on the topics of ebooks I do like, I was surprised to find I really liked this one. It's the sort of book I picked up expecting nothing more than cheap amusement and a way to roll my eyes. But I liked it. It did well what it set out to do, I thought, and didn't try to do anything else. It took a premise that has a high rate of failure and didn't suck it up. I can dig that.
