I just got my work schedule for this week (they start over on Tuesdays). I have ONE day off, and I'm only a "part time" worker. Lord save me from ever working full time at this place...

In other news, I've finally updated my website. Added the two chapters of Rainbow that were still missing from there, as well as Chapters two and three of Treasure. That chapter just came out of no where the other night.

Almost done with a couple of other stories - if my murderous work schedule doesn't kill me, I'll have them up on Saturday.

Oh yeah - I forgot to tell everyone this: Armageddon is upon us. Last night, not two seconds after I took an order and hung up, the man called back and apologized for being rude. So prepare ye for the End.

Moo

The end approaches.

The signs of the apocolypse, according to Angela:

1. Caffeine free Mt. Dew
2. Size 26/28 thongs and g-strings
3. Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life" on Kidz Bop 4

No, no, no

This is the right list:

1. Ang stops buying clothes
2. Gomes finishes something ahead of time
3. Allison stops buying underwear

"By the Dragons! That's cold! Storms Taka, you said water was next!" Nankyokukai snapped, glaring at his secretary through messy strands of ocean blue hair.

"I lied."

I seriously loved that bit right there. Both because it's just funny, and because it does demonstrate the kind of old, familiar, slightly frustrated friendship that they have between them. There's just enough there for them to feel like they're very much used to each other and each other's reactions, but at the same time, they're still able to suprise each other. I just really liked it. :)

The switch from them talking to each other into getting into the killing of the twin ritual seems a little random though. Are there personal reasons for why Nankyo reacts as much as he does? I mean, as a royal, it makes sense that he'd feel some sense of responsiblity, but it seems like there should be a more personal reason for why he feels so strongly about it, because Taka's reaction is a lot calmer than his. Gyah, I'm not making sense the way I want to. ;_;

"I'd almost managed to forget, thanks so much Nankyo. There are still people that think we're lovers, thanks to your stupid stunt."

*grins happily and glomps you* This is another reason why these two are so intriguing. Because you can tell that to the rest of the world, they look, act, and sound like a couple. But they aren't. And on a lot of levels that you've shown, you can see why they aren't a couple and why they would make much better friends than lovers.

Takara moved to tell Raiden exactly what he thought, but before he could the captain spoke up from the opposite side of the table, "Enough, Shima. It's too early in the morning for your games. Save it for the ship."

*giggles* He's got some elements of Nankyo to him, but he's a lot more aggressive and playful and mischeivious for him to actually be Nankyo, you know? I just like the glimpses you've given of him so far. In a lot of ways, he's in charge, but he's also something of a big kid too, in the way he acts towards and around everyone else.

The captain frowned back at him, "No, I do not. I find nothing amusing about going out of your way simply to upset people. It's reprehensible behavior in anyone, but especially a prince. I am only doing this because Shimano agreed to it, not because I want to play escort to a spoiled, trouble making prince."

I <3 this part of the conversation and the argument that stems from it. I love that the captian is operating under a fairly strong prejuidice of what he believes Nankyo to be like, and I like that Nankyo does nothing to disprove or disuade the captian from his beliefs and opts to leave the guy to his own conclusions instead. It just makes sense, because Nankyo isn't a character who's about to explain himself to anyone.

Part II

"What in the dragons' names is that supposed to mean? Neither of you know anything about him, why don't you just shut up!" Takara's temper snapped.

I love, love, LOVE that Taka stands up for him. Particularly in light of what Nankyo has done in practically selling him off to Raiden. It makes you wonder exactly what's at stake, how Taka is seperating the act from the person, and makes you understand that there is a lot of depth to Taka's relationship with Nankyo, because it takes that much depth in order for there to be complications like this. ^-^

"I did not expect him to irk me quite so much. Normally I have no problem ignoring his kind."

*pets Kindan* Of course not, you live with Raiden. It's just that Nankyo is a lot less obvious in some respects about his obstinacny. That, and you've known Raiden a hell of a lot longer. Nankyo is an unknown element, which means you're out of you're element.

Er, will quit randomly babbling at your characters now. ^-^;;

And I love, love, adore the way you ended the chapter. It just seemed so perfect and it was nice to see that Raiden wasn't just out for the carnal, and that he does have some respect and affection for Taka.

"A heavy sleeper, eh? I guess you had to have something in common with him. I wish it hadn't been this though."

You. Are. So. Mean.

In a good way, of course. *shakes head* You and your cliffies. ;_;

You so utterly and completely rock. Thanks for writing the new chapter. *glomps* It totally made my day to read it. ^_____^

I'll try and stop - it's just that it's so much fun...

You're comments make me the happiest person on earth. They help me write, and it's good to get feedback when my friends only ever say "I promise I'll read it soon" and "sorry, I forgot"

::glomp::I love you to death, thank you so much!

Hmmm...I meant to make it more clear as to why the ritual would bother him. It's a very important part of th story - Taka doesn't have a personal connection, that's why he's so much calmer. I'll see if I can fix that part, it gave me hell anyway.

Nankyo isn't a character who's about to explain himself to anyone.

Man, he's so hard to write. I can't ever let him just explain things b/c it's not what he would do, so I either have to work around it or leave it a mystery. But he's so much fun too, argh.

I'm glad you like so far - your comment help me a great deal, I can't even express it.
