Stalling, stalling

Should be working on Nano, but am not. Instead I'm halfway through chapter six of Rainbow. It's been so long since I've tackled the story, I wonder if I'm even writing the chars correctly anymore.

That and I'm trying not to steal ideas from white_aster, whose views on yuber/albert are much like my own. But the song Stitches (by Orgy, I think I'm one of three people that like them) is giving me ideas. Though I need to finish the percy/borus I'm writing first.

Enough stalling I suppose. Back to Rainbow.

P.S. I just realized why I keep stalling. I hate writing thoughts, but I originally put them in Rainbow as a challenge, and b/c I thought it might be better told with them. Notice I don't use them in any other story - that may be why I'm so "dialogue happy" as a couple of people have pointed out to me. I really dislike writing thoughts, and I'm not honestly sure I do it well. Blargh. Enough whining,I'm done now. Promise.

Tisk Tisk, and yet, Rainbow 6!?! Whoo!!! ::does a happy dance:: I like Rainbow. Will we be seeing more of Regan? ::hopeful for any Regan input even if its is very very tiny::

I find that going back and reading the previous chapters of a seris story of your own helps to get back into the flow of the charcters and they're personalities.

I do that sometimes, though not purposlliy of course, start writing something only to relize it sounds firmilular. To then find out its not my work at all but someone elses and then ::toss:: into the scrap heap it goes. To get written when I don't have that story/Fic on the mind.

No Regan quite yet, but he might be around soon. *evil grin* But if you're reading IW, you may notice an itty bitty Rainbow reference,though it may be more obvious after six is out.

It's actually funny with Aster & I - maybe I'm presumptuous, but she might agree if she reads this - but we wrote our storeis completely ignorant of one another. Then I found her story and was "wow, this is a lot like mine," in regards to how we write the chars. except she can write the naughty pieces, I'm still not at that level *looks sheepish*

Thats cool. Kinda like you were channeling eachother. Don't worry it takes a while to get to the naughty bits. I myself am not that great at it.

I find myself looking at others works and wiching I could match their skills. Kinda how I feel when I read your originals.

I'm trying to write one of my own but first I need to stock up on my history.

I got one of the charcters in my head but he is *refusing* to inform me from what time he derives.

*grins* you have no idea how happy I am that you like Regan - he's my little pet, I've been dying to get to where he enters the story.

I'll have to keep trying, I just get horribly embarassed writing explicit stuff(though reading is no problem, it's ridiculous).

*is embarrased* I'm glad you like my writing that much, but I honestly don't think I'm that skilled. I really only started originals because it seemed every fanfiction category was already well covered.

Research - I should do more of that. I think that's why my settings tend to be so vague. My ships in Treasure are so horribly wrong a sailor would probaby beat me to death for incompetence.

Older setting? Modern setting? Historical settings are one thing I'm not brave enough to do. So if you do that, props to you.

Heh. If you can read it then you can write it. ^-^ Don't be so embarrased. Know that I look back at my first ever explict I'm like 'Oh gosh I can't belive I *wrote* that' But it was pretty good for my first. And no one shot me down for it. Besides your online. No one can see you bluch unless you let them.

I know what you mean about the Fandom's but truly there are alot of slashy stories out there that no one wants to tackle. Those are the ones I'm out for.

Heh well then will make sure to keep sailors far away from treasure or at least you. Keep you safe.

Well I believe he's somewhere inbetween the late 1920's and/or somewhere in the 1930's. I just have to find out which era his clothing is from. Then I have to create his wealth and family background and I'll be done with him.

The story is gonna be set in the present but I need the background. You'll see if I ever get around to writing it.

^____^ Oh, no, please feel free to steal away! I have this thing about writing the same story over and over, so I write a first time, and that's The First Time, set in stone in the Grand Albert and Yuber Timeline. But hey, if we've got my Yuber and your Yuber thinkin' the same things, then it's double the fun! :) Besides, I really want to see what your Yuber's got in store for your Albert. ^_____^

And what your Percy's got in store for your Borus, while we're at it. ^_^

Percy/Borus - man,they're harder to write than I thought. I think the story is doing well, I'll see if I can finish it tonight and you can tell me.

:) Oh yes, I find them horribly addicting. Like crack.

And I would love to write Zexen knights stories (in fact I've got a plotbunny around here somewhere centered on Percy and Borus getting Louis horribly drunk the night after he earns his knighthood...), but I've never so much as gotten a word out of any of them, so it's never happened.

Oh, btw, are your stories going to be only updated in their own LJs now? Just wondering if I should friend them or just keep watching this one....

I'll still update them here - the seperate ljs are mostly for my website, as I'm too poor to afford real space and my stories are slowly but surely eating it all up.
