Sep. 24th, 2005 10:01 amI HAVE ANANSI BOYS!
But I also have writing to do. So it will be my treat later ^_^
Saw Corpse Bride last nigh! Not as good as Nightmare, but I am a biased fangirl. Gomi my sweet, I dont' know that you'll like the song/dance numbers so much. But then again, who knows? I'm often wrong about you and movies. But I liked it very very much. It was fun and cute and sweet.
While at the bookstore, also bought to writing books. Writer's Market for short stories and novels (and I've already found three mags that accept "sword and sorcery, science fiction, feminist, gay, etc" so w00t! ^_^ Also bought Elements of Style, which is something of a bible in the writing world? Though skimming through I've already picked up a few of the lessons he goes on about - mostly because they're drilled into me here. Anyone who thinks the 'net method of writing/posting isn't worth anything clearly doesn't know much about it. Heh. At least on my flist, no punches are ever pulled *loves*
Mmm, coffee. Walked to UDF this morning for cofffee. It is cloudy and cool, but pleasantly so. A verra nice day indeed.
And now I write. *ignores Anansi calling her name*

Date: 2005-09-24 02:19 pm (UTC)Clearly you're the result of mother's torrid affair with the
mailmanboat salesman. We all have our obsessions. At least you browse dictionaries and not something like the self-help section.

Date: 2005-09-24 04:01 pm (UTC)Just out of curiousity, which three magazines did you pick up? Because finding them that accept, basically, gay fantasy is killing me!

Date: 2005-09-24 04:05 pm (UTC)eh. there are a bunch listed in the book - that's where i found them, I did'nt actually buy them. I'll have to go back and look, skimming at 12:05 am is not so good for the retaining of information.
