Just thirteen days and I'll be on a plan to Europe. I just wish I was certain I had enough money for this trip. Meh.
Spent the day vaguely plotting out said trip, but I'm hesitatn to do anything more concrete b/c
amasugiru mentioned that she wanted to add/change something. But then she never said what so I'll have to harass her later. But for now we're going to spen 26-30 in Scotland and Ireland, then be back in England for new year's, then the 1-5 or so we'll spend in France (because I demand at least a day and a half at least for the Louvre, not to mention Versailles, that place where Napolean's corpse is, the Tower, Notre Dame...I could easily spend the whole month in just France) then it's on to Italy and wherever else the 7th-10 (the 6th is for traveling, and room for error). That's as far as I've gotten, now I need to work on travel and all. Gomes refuses to fly to Italy (which would be about 30 bucks) so we'll have to take the train (still very cool, slightly more expensive. I think I was ordered to take the train and see the damned mountains anway).
The only thing I'm disappointed about it that we probably won't be able to do Germany - I wanted to do Greece to but mostly Germany. My ancestors are from there, and we had a hand in building the Hindenburg so I was kinda hoping to at least see the country. But that's just me being silly.
Alright, I have two short stories that must be finished before I leave - one is for my secret santa fanfic thing, the other is a story for
jagen13's What Are You Doing New Year's Eve fic challenge. I'm also working on Mythos, so stop glaring Gomes.

Date: 2003-12-04 03:20 pm (UTC)We'll try for Switzerland, it's hard to ignore a rec from Mcleod. And there's something really wrong about all of us going to Scotland before you.

Date: 2003-12-04 01:21 pm (UTC)And the Hindenburg thing? That's just cool in a freaky kind of way. And you're German too? That's scary too..
And I'm not making much sense right now am I...?

Date: 2003-12-04 03:18 pm (UTC)Yeah, I figure good ol' Baron von Durr was the one responsible for the paint that wound up being rocket fuel that led to its blowing up. I think we have some Nazi in their too somewhere, and we founded Louisburg in PA. All this lineage and no money. Damn it.
You make about as much sense as usual.

Date: 2003-12-05 02:45 am (UTC)Wow colorful past. that's awesome. I say you head back to Penn. and start the take over there... All I can claim from my German ancestors is the name (Brinkman) and the looks (blue and blonde and eerily pale ;)
cool. I was sitting out in left field with my head floating three feet over my shoulders when I left that comment. *sniff* not sick.

Date: 2003-12-05 04:35 am (UTC)Hmm, PA would be a good place to start.
*glares* yeah, don't be sick or I'll be mad at you.

Date: 2003-12-05 05:03 am (UTC)Ok then it shall be noted.. We start the takeover with you reclaiming you heritage ;)

Right...so if you're "not sick" what are you doing out of bed, young lady?

Re: Train to Italy
Date: 2003-12-04 03:11 pm (UTC)I don't particularly mind the overnight thing, it would save on a hostel - then again a flight plus a hostel might be cheaper. We shall see. If nothing else I'll drug gomes and then get plane tickets.
