Somebody explain it to me
Jun. 25th, 2006 01:19 pmWhy are we expected to pay thirty+ for "distressed" and "paint splatter" jeans?
Dude, if I want my jeans to look like shit, I'd abuse them myself.
Please to be giving me jeans that look like they should cost thirty dollars, not fifty cents at a yard sale.

Date: 2006-06-25 05:32 pm (UTC)I refuse to pay more than twenty for a pair of jeans, and if they get that high they'd better be damned nice jeans. I have no preferred brand, really. I was glancing over the old navy site and just O_O. Honestly, why the fuck would you pay that much for jeans that look like shit? It's not like you can where they anywhere half respectable.

Date: 2006-06-25 05:35 pm (UTC)I used to buy ON jeans, but then I realized that their material was so thin, I actually went through the jeans faster than I do with Levi's, or other 'name brands'. The Levis I buy are between 23 and 30$, but they LAST.

Date: 2006-06-25 09:46 pm (UTC)I don't pay more than $60.00 for my jeans and they are just that: jeans. But I pay a lot because well, different jeans fit different people and because I completely lack an ass, well, I need special jeans.
:o)

Date: 2006-06-28 08:14 am (UTC)the distressed, comphy, "air-condidtioned" versions just make it more comfortable.
I can see both sides of the issue and am TORN!
*note: extremes in either direction would not be good.
