Why are we expected to pay thirty+ for "distressed" and "paint splatter" jeans?

Dude, if I want my jeans to look like shit, I'd abuse them myself.

Please to be giving me jeans that look like they should cost thirty dollars, not fifty cents at a yard sale.

Just back over them a few times with the car. That'll do it. But I completely agree. I painted my jeans in high school before it was cool to do that and everyone made fun of me, but I had some great jeans! I loved them...

I don't pay more than $60.00 for my jeans and they are just that: jeans. But I pay a lot because well, different jeans fit different people and because I completely lack an ass, well, I need special jeans.
