Digital cameras

There are two sparklies these days that I want, and which I would make good use of - one is an ipod, the other a digital camera. Of the two, the camera seems more practical (though if I get one more sketchy asshole on the bus harassing me I may go for the ipod - the headphones on my current player no longer work so it's getting harder and harder to avoid them).

Advice? Any recs? It's going to be my birthday present to myself, so I have time to save up a bit of money, though I'd like not to go over three hundred. There was one I loved, waterproof and shockproof, but the pricetag was a little high. I might get one of the kodak ones, they seem the best of the lot so far...

yeah, Ipod rocks. Forget what i said ealier. Get an ipod video. You are now able to watch yaoi anime while you commute! Score!

Yep... Sadly, though, I have a mini, and even though I have a 100GB harddrive on my laptop, I am limited by how much music I can put on said iPod.

the 30 Gig ones are really only good if you have that much to put ON them, right?

:) Scary thing is, my first laptop had the same size harddrive as my current iPod.

I would like a bigger one, but we'll see...
