There is a God
Feb. 4th, 2004 12:05 amWE'VE STOPPED DELIVERY!!!!!
*insert holy music*
In other news I have absolutely nothing to bitch about. The shift was so perfect I truly think the world is ending. And I got to tell every nasty, fat, lazy moron in this city that we're never delivering to them again. *does a happy dance*
I also have the next two days off, but only because Nancy is making me close Friday-Sunday. If I'm alive by the end of Sunday I'm going to buy myself something.
Speaking of closing, the boss was telling stories tonight (he tends to do this kinda sorta all the freakin' time) about how he used to always do landing. He mentioned that in all of pizzadom (so far as the actual stores go), landing is the most difficult job. It figures this is the one I decide to be good at.

Penguin!!! He's soft! I hope you don't mind that I had to test his huggable factor first ;)
Re:
Date: 2004-02-04 05:52 am (UTC)lmao. I need to calm down before someone wakes up and kicks my ass. but it's so weird being in a good mood after work.
Meals are for the weak. Writing I can do.
Oh, by all means test the huggable factor. You'd best test it several times, to ensure lasting huggableness.
Re:
Date: 2004-02-04 05:59 am (UTC)*is weak* so what's the story de jour?
*nods* yes mam. I'm going to have to say he's very huggable. and his fleece is super soft too ;)

Hrm...still IW I think. I want to see if it's actually possible for me to finish a story.
Excellent. oh, fleece. that sounds nice and yummy right about now.

Date: 2004-02-04 05:39 am (UTC)Just try not to show just how happy you are when you tell them you don't deliver. ;)
Re:
Date: 2004-02-04 05:45 am (UTC)Hee - I try, but I think the gloating is apparent anyone.
WOOHOO
Date: 2004-02-04 10:55 am (UTC)That is gorgeous!!! But I'm kind of sad that there will be no more evil delivery stories... but now they have to come IN to the store... and that is just going to be DAMN SCARY. You'll have to SEE the people on the other end of the phone. *shiver*
Don't get arrested.
Re: WOOHOO
Date: 2004-02-04 01:48 pm (UTC)roflmao. OMG I think I'm going to say that one of these days.
Yeah, the scary people come inside now. I'm thinking there's a good reason I'm always doing everything besides counter. But no worries - I just mailed out my London app so no getting arrested for me!

Date: 2004-02-04 03:28 pm (UTC)It's true there aren't many Caesars, and w/out delivery we would normally die - except that since we became a five dollar store we've been pulling in more money. We'v almost doubled what we used to do, and since starting it delivery dropped to the point that it cost too much to keep. People in this town are lazy, but they're more cheap than they are lazy. They'll drive out if they only have to pay five bucks for a pizza.

Date: 2004-02-04 12:39 pm (UTC)Am I to assume landing has something to do with closing?
Re:
Date: 2004-02-04 01:44 pm (UTC)Nah, I knew the world was ending when the boss said he might start closing an hour early during the week.
Landing = ovens.
