Doesn't feel like Wednesday
Feb. 11th, 2004 12:53 pmWent to walmart to pick up some things for my mom, got the March shounen jump as well. New favorite quote comes from Shaman King:
"Clearly 600 years ago men were as stupid as they are today. The same homophobic rituals to obscure the fact that they have feelings."
Was supposed to have the day off, but the HM is sick so I'm going in from 3-7 (which isn't bad, but they'd better let me off at seven).
Mergh. How does one write when every five minutes your mind switches stories? I've got so many things spinning around in my head right now it's giving me a headache.

I'm still weak....
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 03:00 pm (UTC)*yawns* I'm just as weak, no worries.
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 03:01 pm (UTC)I'm sleeping at the switchboard right now so I guess this qualifies as a nap, right? ;)
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 03:11 pm (UTC)Sounds like a nap to me.
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 03:13 pm (UTC)I dun wann be here today....
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 03:19 pm (UTC)I can tell. Is there weather as crappy there as it is here? Because it's utterly ruined my plans for the day and I'm sorely tempted to go back to bed.
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 03:31 pm (UTC)So what's it doing down there? Go back to bed.. I can live vicarously...
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 03:45 pm (UTC)Well first they said we'd get snow...then nothing...then oh it might snow a little. So we got rain, followed by snow that promptly melted and then turned into ice.
I would but my computer just freakin' spazzed on me. No idea why, I haven't done anything that would let a virus in but 50-fucking explorer windows opening at once def qualifies as a virus.
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 03:55 pm (UTC)50? Daaymn.. that's really not of the good... Good luck with that.. *gets out the anti virus Bat and beats computer to death*
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 04:12 pm (UTC)yeah, but I'll probably disappear once my comp is finished fixing itself to go clean my room - I can't see the floor anymore.
I think my virus program finally ate it. If you hear screams of rage though don't be too surprised.
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 04:34 pm (UTC)*munch munch Burp!* mmmm viruses..

Date: 2004-02-12 05:35 pm (UTC)Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 05:42 pm (UTC)dude, my room is driving me batty. I had the brilliant idea to sort my books (which have gone to hell). it's going to take me for-fucking-ever.
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 05:50 pm (UTC)Best of luck with the sorting...
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 06:50 pm (UTC)Lord, I dont have that many. At least not in my closet sized room. I only room for two small bookcases, one of which is all manga and the other all prose. Takes forever b/c I have to stop and read all of them.
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 07:12 pm (UTC)I've got a full set of every novel Agatha Christie ever wrote, two full shelves of cat books, a set of the classics in brown leather, a shelf of some really old books like The Song of Hiwatha from 1927 (Written by my sixth cousin) and the rest of the shelves in the three bookcases are triple stacked with romance, mystery, and other paperbacks. and the 10 boxes in my back room are all paperbacks too >_< all of my manga is out on the shelves that are up now.. But I need to get a hammer and pull one section of them down. They are too big for me to really keep anything on but I can use that space.. Maybe this weekend.. I dunno...
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 07:18 pm (UTC)Then again with romances, mysteris, my books, my sisters, my mothers, etc etc. we could easily fill the damned house and then some. It's no wonder we get along - we're both addicts of all the same things. Never was into Agatha Christie, more of a Rex Stout fan.
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 07:35 pm (UTC)The christies were a gift from a woman at the shelter I worked at. I've read about half of them. I did really like 10 little Indians though. I don' tthink I've ever read any Rex Stout..
Re:
Date: 2004-02-12 07:42 pm (UTC)Yeah, Me + Bookstore job = No Money. Why I never tried too hard to get a job in one. But man would that be nice....
I had a friend that worshipped Agatha books, but I seldom get into mysteries. Ever heard of Nero Wolfe? Those are the books Stout writes, they made them into an awesome TV series on A&E for a while.
