*offers sacrifice at altar to Stephen King*

King is the man, his stuff is the world's greatest crack. Kingdom Hospital just gave me a whole new reason to be happy I get Wednesdays off.

And holy fuck me, I had no idea an anteater could be that hella creepy.

*happy dance*

it has *nothing* to do with Stephen King, he couldn't even have had anything to do with the translation to english.

it has EVERYTHING to do with Lars Von Trier.
^___________________^

the original 'die Regie' as "The Kingdom" is available in the US and Canada as rentals at coolish rental places; as with "The Ring" - okay, so there's an english version for less arty snob types, but maaaaaan, the original just has dat SUMPIN. is soooo good.

my grumble is - King wrote ZILCH, save a tack in about his poor-widdle van accident. am watching this and it's nearly a verbatum lift from the original although the guy from Sweden who worships his volvo and HAAATES the Dutch is now from Boston? ah well, whatever. is spooky, yes, is great, yes, but it AIN'T at King's door. nosah, go go wacky gadget Von Trier!

Just out of sheer curiosity, how did you even stumble across my post?

And credit where credit is due - I honestly didn't know he was just remaking a story. So fulls props to this Von Trier guy, because I honestly do love the story even if what I'm watching is a remake. I still give props to King, b/c his supplement book was kickass and he has made significant contributions. But as I said, credit where credit is due.

On a sidenote, I've seen both the Ring movies and I'm going to have to vote that I liked the american take more. I'm still confused as to why my Japanese teacher though the Jap version was scary.

lol. no harm done, I was just curious. And I am sorry for my inaccuracy, I know what it's like to see the work of one credited to another.
