Date: 2007-07-31 03:42 pm (UTC)When my aunt died, we had a band play at her wake in front of her coffin, and after the funeral we had karaoke? She would have wanted it that way. When we tried to switch off the karaoke machine, another song came on. We took it as a sign.

Date: 2007-07-31 08:52 pm (UTC)It was just part of the speech. He was an old, old, old friend of the family, and he'd been talking about how hard it was that the family had now lost three people. I think he just wanted to make everyone laugh, since by that point everyone was looking kind of sad.
