I'm sure everyone would prefer to see whole, completed things, but for anyone that cares, is bored, or requires assistance in procrastinating, I offer several things I have been working on in the past few weeks/months (some of which you'll recognize):

Two Knights )

DwtD )

Black Magic I: The Necromancer )

my struggling bondmac fic )

Do you know how hard it is to type when you can barely feel your fingers? My hands have always been the worst when it comes to the cold. Even in the middle of summer they're cold. Now? Damn near frozen.

Really am going to have to work double time tomorrow to finish everything I swore I'd have finsihed by Monday -_-;; Accounting fore beta-ing, you probably won't seem my completed story until Tuesday.

Ugh. The worst thing about being cold here is that I'm the only one suffering. I don't know why that is. I just can't take the cold at all I guess. It sucks being the only one miserable because it just makes you feel like an idiot. But I grew up in Okinawa and California. A hundred degress is as nothing, but anything below seventy I want to hibernate. Bleh.

All right. Something hot to drink and then I'm going to freakin' right. Heh. Only the oldest of the old timers here probably even remember the story I'm working on. I doubt anyone really remembers it. But Sammie, Ki-chan and Sarah all heartily approve the revival, so I shall push on despite my poor, freezing fingers XD XD XD

Also. Finished reading Vampire Hunter D: Raiser of Gales. A lot of it is the sort of silly, over the top descripitiosn I generally dislike, but it fits the books. Not anything OMG amazing but they're fun to read. And as there are only three vampires in all of fictiondom I truly love, I'm willing to tolerate a lot of cheezy description. Though honestly, how many times does the reader need to be told how breathtakingly, bewitchingly, astoundingly, darkly, appealing to women *and* men beautiful D is? And the third book is the basis for the third movie! So excited! But it doesn't come out 'til January...Ah, well. Maybe I'll write a bit and then go watch the movie. So pretty! I love it because they worked so hard to match the anime art to Yoshitaka's artwork. *_*

Or I will be once I make the corrections suggested by my betas.

Erm. Was going to do them at lunch. But now it looks as though I may not even get near my work comp after this. Oh, well. Expect at least one story tonight. Of the other two for which I've completed parts, one you won't see until it's *done* (and I am bloody fucking hell going to finish it by Friday if not sooner) and I think maybe I should wait until the second half is finished with the other story, lest I find myself being threatened. I'll let the betas decide.

And now to work. Alas, it looks like I shall not have the freedom this week for which I was hoping >_< Damn.

Dear Stephen King,

I love you. As much as parts of it freak me out and make me fret, On Writing also makes me feel much better. Thanks for the help.

Most Sincerely,
Megan Derr

P.S. Still love Neil Gaimen more.

Finaly updated the beast. Urgh. I just know I did fifty bajillion things wrong, so the pointing out of errors would be appreciated. Those of you who recently submitted challenges, I'm sorry it took me so long - if you don't mind, double check the challenge page and make sure I got all your info correct.

Added bunches of stuff that needed to go up a while ago. For those of you who care, I also added the next two parts of Dance With the Devil:

Case # 322: Family Matters
Case # 134: Sweet Dreams*

If you prefer I put them on LJ, drop me a line and I shall ^_^

All right, now I have to update fp.net, as I have a few devoted fans there who are worth the hassle of the place.

*still needs beta'ing, but I wanted to have them both up today before I left, so pardon the errors.

The hardest damn part about Embrace is the flowers. They're my favorite part, the least noticed part, and the hardest part to remember. I had a list somewhere, of the flowers I needed to use and when. Yargh, where did I put it? At least the site I'm using is back up...

I really wish the chick I was writing my SMP story wanted slash, b/c I rather like the one I started last night but she specifically requested het this go 'round. Ah, well.

Must write Midsummer, because I promised Ki I'd have it on Friday last and I've barely had a chance to look at it.

Have started *three* different stories for Dance With The Devil. Could, actually, start *all* of the ten that comprise the main storyline. The problem is finishing them. I know how they all begin, I know a fair bit of the middle...damend if I can find the pieces that finish them up.

And d00d, my ass isn't leaving the office today. For two weeks straight I've done 90% of the foot runs. Slow and Lazy can do the work today. Man, it always takes me forever to fall asleep and when I do I don't sleep well. Last night? Dropped like a rock and slept like the dead. It was heavenly.

All right, back to the flower hunt. Because Embrace just isn't Embrace to me without the flowers. It was the first thing I thought of when I started putting the story together, and one of the few times I've focused so hard on what is essentially a background element.

And I need more coffee.

I also think I"m going to reread HBP. My flist is a mix of negative and positive reviews and I'd like another reading before I make up my own mind. I've avoided my own long spiel simply because I'm not quite sure where I stand yet. There were things I liked and things I didn't like. Ah, well.

I so can't wait until A Mankind Witch arrives. I bought it in the bookstore but it wasn't in house, they're shipping it to me (and it cost me less, wtih shipping, to do that than to buy it from the bookstore. wtf, mate?).

Oh, and Beej? Am enjoying the Garth Nix book muchly. The first story is about Nicholas Sayre, and all the rest are non-abhorsen stories. The last one is my favorite, it's all of three pages but now it has me wanting to write fairytales again (which is good, as I have to write several).

I can't help but feel there's something I'm forgetting.
